Khalia Shaw enjoys her service in nonprofit development, institutional advancement services, and most recently as a fundraising consultant for the past ten years. She has proven success providing dedicated capacity to identify and implement sophisticated inclusive fundraising and communication strategies that support nonprofit c-suite executives, chief development officers, assistant vice presidents, and senior and mid-level gift officers with a goal to expand resources and proctor philanthropic relationships. Specifically, she synthesizes information and develops tools and data-driven resources to inform the strategic direction, implementation, and execution of multi-billion and multi-million-dollar capital and comprehensive fundraising campaigns.

Khalia’s passion is fueled by her advocacy for belonging and building equity through volunteer leadership, philanthropy, and service in spaces that promote empathy, peace and love. She is Board of Director for American Legacy Theatre, an organization that leverages performing arts to awaken and cultivate empathy for all people, regardless of race, gender, socioeconomic status, and any other health or social determinants.

In Khalia's spare time, you may find her enjoying family and friends or catching up on her favorite works and critiques by authors and culturalists like James Baldwin to John Graham, J. California Cooper to Dr. Francis Cress Welsing, and Amanda Gorman to Nikki Giovanni to name a few. She has one adult college student currently studying stage management at the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music.
